Power boating Level 2 available on the beautiful South Coast of Turkey at Marmaris, leading to an RYA qualification to operate a power boat in the sun. This course will provide you with the skills and background knowledge needed by the competent powerboat driver and is the basis of the International Certificate of Competence. Our instructor will give you all the confidence needed to pass the course and allow you time to practice your skills with a power boat safely. Course duration is 2 days. Minimum age 12. 12 to 16 year olds will receive a Level 2 certificate which will be endorsed - The holder should only use powered craft under the supervision of a responsible adult. Suggested Previous Experience None Course Content Practical - Launching and recovery; Boat handling; Securing to a buoy; Anchoring; Leaving and coming alongside; Man overboard. Theory - Types of craft; Engines and drives; Siting of fuel tanks; Routine engine maintenance; Close down procedure; Advice to inland drivers about coastal waters; Use and limitations of GPS; Application of local byelaws; Sources of weather information. Coastal - Pilotage and passage planning; Understands charts, symbols and buoyage systems; Use of compasses. Award RYA National Power Boat Level 2 Coastal Certificate (new electronic certificates need passport photo to complete certification).
